Discovering an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be, Peacemaker is forced to face his past and take the future he wants into his own hands. It’s an exciting continuation of Peacemaker’s story filled with absurdly funny moments mixed with over the top and chaotic violence that work perfectly for this universe. In the first five episodes screened for review, the show elevates from the previous season in every way possible to make it a fun watch that brings an exploration in the possibility of redemption and how trauma defines the characters.

Superman is a directorial masterclass. James Gunn somehow nods to the past iterations while opening a door to the future. David Corenswet stuns as Superman and after watching, it is clear that he was born to play this role. Justice, heart and empathy are all the main focus of this story and it's a stark reminder that if we lose this, we lose what it means to be human. It is shamelessly funny, emotion led and delivers excellence on every level. Superhero movies have been taken away from the grit and grime and reclaimed into something fun and enjoyable for all.

The Flash is saved from unwatchable to passable thanks to the supporting cast, notably Keaton’s Batman and Calle’s Supergirl. Issues arise with the plot and technical aspects of the movie, but there are enough surprises to make The Flash a decent movie, but not enough for a rewatch.
