My Oxford Year

My Oxford Year clearly aspires to be a poignant, inspiring film about embracing life’s fleeting moments, but it falls short of that ambition. What could have been a poetically beautiful story is instead reduced to a jumble of clichés, rushed relationships, and inconsistent character development. With chemistry that often feels one-sided and characters that feel recycled from other works, the film ultimately lacks the emotional depth it strives for. Corey Mylchreest is the saving grace of My Oxford Year, but even his charm couldn’t make up for the inconsistent plot.
