Blood of My Blood

Outlander: Blood of My Blood will clearly stand on its own, if not become a more compelling story to watch. Each couple offers a different love story while their other plots to keep you rooted in the Scottish Highlands such as the brother’s political struggles, the Clan fighting. You feel more deeply rooted into the Scottish environment than Outlander. The character’s feel more defined and Blood of My Blood uses the beautiful Scottish scenery to its’ benefit.  Blood of My Blood feels more authentically Scottish, more deeply rooted in the land and lore and in Ellen MacKenzie, the show has already found a formidable lead who might just outshine those who came before.

Mary & George: Review

An intriguing show unlike other period dramas that is both sinister and seductive, showing the duplicitous nature of the characters and that there are no boundaries when it comes to political ascension. Marketing promised scenes of a salacious nature with George and the King but it is the political climb of the Villers and incredible nuanced performances with outrageous turns that make the series nothing like typical period dramas.

Outlander Season 7 review: Bordering on Repetitive

Outlander Season 7 lacks any meaningful stakes or adventures. Conflicts arise, but as soon as they are discovered, they are resolved or the characters do not react to them. While the season is off to a rushed and rocky start, new characters do breathe a breath of fresh air into the show that promises an interesting rest of season.
